Syntax: snare 

Snare allows the scout to set traps in a natural setting that have the
ability to temporarily immobilize the hapless victim.  The scout has the
option of setting up to two snares in a normal room and as many as eight
snares in a wilderness room because of the extra space available.  The
more snares there are, the greater the chance that something will set them
off. But it also becomes more difficult to add each snare to the room
without the scout setting them off during creation.  The dexterity of the
victim is the most important attribute for determining whether or not they
avoid the snare and how long it takes them to escape it. The type of room
may make a difference in the difficulty of setting snares.
