I heard that a week or so ago some Imm brought an NPC to Nerina and ran amuck, killing guards and being overall villainous. First off, I wasn’t able to be a part of it but I’d like to thank the Imm that did that for the players that were online.
Events like this, I’d call a mini-GRP. And I’d like to encourage more of this. You don’t even need to bring the NPC to the players, you could taunt players into going on adventures. You take over Varloch, or Gaan D’Astae, or the Red sextant. Perhaps the Imm could put 10 obsidian, or a tie sight potion, or some other consumable, on the NPC whenever they do this. Just something to make the trip worth the while, outside of it just being a fun trip.
Normally most areas are only traversed when a player needs specific gear or weaponry.
I think this would go a long way in keeping the playerbase interested when there isn’t really anything going on.
The Imm could see how many allied players are online and determine which area would be suitable for a team of two a team of theee or even just a solo player. The orc hive comes to mind for a quick solo trip.
An Imm could also put together a mini quest chain. “Meet me in the cloud realm and bring this item I have to someone. I will reward you for your efforts.”
Idk. I think it would be fun for the players, for whatever active imms we have, and it could breathe life back into the game.
Any players or imms have thoughts on this?
