Song of anti-magic dispels opponents if dancing

It's a little more complicated than that. First off, this is not as good as a regular dispel magic. It's half power and does not accumulate impairment.

Also: antimagic, silence and sleep all now share something in common. Before you can get their secondary ability, you have to max out the primary ability.

Antimagic
Primary ability: Reduce casting level and add concentration penalty
Secondary ability: Dispel Magic

Silence
Primary ability: Increase casting time
Secondary ability: Unable to make sounds

Sleep
Primary ability: Decrease accuracy and weapon speed
Secondary ability: Forced slumber

Maxing out the primary ability takes at least several rounds. How long depends on the level of the song.

Yes, as long as it is still a infraction for forcing them to do hostile actions.

This looks fun. Bards are a sweet class and if I had one complaint it was that sing/dance songs of sleep instantly owned people - looks like you fixed that with the build-up code and gave them more variety to try too. Cool.

Let me guess, fury and bash? Necros just got another nerf and are now even more boring. Good thing my undead can hide and sneak so that... oh wait that doesn't matter at all.

Berserk still needs to subtract from MP, not add to it.

Lol. Necro easy mode off.

EDIT: Actually, playing a human bard just also became an hilariously bad idea given how poorly they handle high-end concentration on songs + dancing.

It can, but I imagine only against the unenchanted. Got to see it since it was live before Dulrik posted about it.

I like it. The other songs were just about useless compared to songs of sleep, which had way too many effects. These changes with the enchant change actually make bards playable.

Code:
You sing: Cold be more comfortin' stuff.
You continue to dance.
You fail to break any spells.
You fail to break any spells.
You fail to break any spells.
A scraggly male human's spirit companions fade away.
You fail to break any spells.
You fail to break any spells.
You fail to break any spells.

>
You sing: I seek nothing so dire,
You continue to dance.
You fail to break any spells.
You fail to break any spells.
You fail to break any spells.
You fail to break any spells.
You fail to break any spells.
A white-haired male deep-elf loses the blessing of the gods.
A white-haired male deep-elf falls to the ground!
Silisa loses the blessing of the gods.

I love the changes and I still would like to see a tweak to persuade to be similar to the order command... Then again... I can deal with that now.

The songs, aside from sleep and silence, being useful again is a verrrrry good change... I just have one issue. Since, it appears there are saves now on most of the songs, that means art becomes vital to bards. Doesn't this make one of the two largest stat heavy classes that much more stat heavy?

[edit] Doesn't this also make any bard not playing a helf/half/sprite, that much harder to play, usefully due to the really high concentration requirements?
