If you have two weapons that compare the same damage-wise, yet one is two handed and the other is one handed, would you typically do more damage with the two hander if you had a strength bonus?

Also, do brawling weapons or orbs constitute as two handers?

Two-handers allow you to use more of your strength than one-handers do. So, if a one-handed weapon compares the same as a two-handed weapon, and your strength is high enough, you'll do more with the two-handed weapon.

Brawling weapons probably do not count as two-handers.
Otherwise, anything that is worn "in both hands" would be two-handed.
