It's nice to hear that the game mechanics facilitate such fun and meaningful interactions with other players. It's like if we had to ask someone else how to fill out a 1040. Wow, what an engrossing environment that would be! Maybe we could get told our tax bracket by asking a friend, and they could itemize our deductions for us while they were at it!
Honestly. You'd think there would be more interesting things to spend time on. Just because some other player wasted his time figuring out what is where does not mean it is worthwhile to perpetuate the whole thing. There's a difference between an interesting, numberless system and something that's just censored and missing information. There's a difference between exploration and pixel ditching.
I see no valid reason why the examine and list commands should not include subtype for weapons. Any argument against has been predicated on the hubris and compulsion of 'veterans' or solipsists.
The current setup relies on builders to make up for the lack of features the code has few reasons not to have beyond a lack of code development. End of story. Welcome to Shattered Kingdoms. Even with that being true, it can still be fun.
Code:
examine yari
This tremendous magari yari is much too large for human-sized use. The
shaft is made of a lightweight but sturdy metal that has been covered
with a red lacquer. The central "blade" of the spear is long, about
the length of a human arm, and cross-sectionally diamond-shaped. The two
flanking tines have a similar construction, with sharp chiseled tips.
This battle spear is a medium-sized spear made of diamond.
That's already there. As for most shops, they already include the subtype in the weapon's short description.
