So I bought a container in a shop, and the shopkeeper advised me that it might be stolen by thieves. I was surprised, because I thought I was past that point by now.

Anyway, if I'm wearing the container, and it gets stolen by thieves, what happens to all my items inside? Poof?

No, they should get dumped into your inventory. But you might log in and be juggling too many items to be able to move, in which case you'd have to either put them in another bag that you are carrying or drop some until you can get a bag and come back for them.

Are you sure, Dulrik? I've seen containers get lost to thieves along with their contents. It has been awhile though.

My container was taken within the month. It dumps everything into the inventory.

Maybe that's the case of its stolen by a bandit while walking on a road?
