so we r supposed to believe that after the guardians were shut down and sith'a'niel removed as a starting city, the hand and kol's moot would not have been...if someone had showed up to defend florence trilani? lulz wat? shenanigans. the balance of the game would have been skewed. in fact it's pretty obvious that the hand can't come back if the guardians don't also. the guardians wouldn't even be that difficult to re-start cuz there r still active members that appear frequently on the who list.

Trag openly stated that his necromancer worked against the Black Hand during the GRP, and I haven't heard or seen anyone who was Black Hand at the time state that they tried to "save" the tribunal. So to that effect, the players did impact it, because I'll put my bets on Trag winning a 1v0. The city is still there, people can still travel to it and gate to it. I do personally think that the starting area there was the best built in the entire game, so that's sad to me that it's gone, but the starting area would have been nuked regardless of whether the trib remained.

My only problem here is that every single time I plan to make a character in a faction/cabal I've never played before they are promptly destroyed. Way back when, I had never played a Blood Adept and was planning on making a character there and bam. No more Blood Adepts. Here I was planning on playing a Hand since I've been every single faction except Hand and wanted to learn the north, bam. No more Hand. :(

As the guardians -just- lost leadership, induction, and immigration due to inactivity this month, it is entirely possible that the hand could still be a thing currently if anyone has bothered to try.

It would have died its death eventually, but not as quickly, Finney.

I tried repeatedly to get back in the hand through prayers and PMs with Ideysa when I brought her back and before the end to the grp (I think it was before what jreid is describing but my memory is admittedly flawed). Trag I believe also tried to get a leader flag back to keep it going, but I believe we were both told to let it go.

I didn't want to lead anymore, but I love northern RP and think it's truly unique and I'm incredibly saddened to not get to roll there anymore. I still have a living northerner who would be interested in pursuing new opportunities there even if it's just RP based. If I wasn't told or led to believe there was no more point, I'd still be doing that.
