Algon, can you stop 2 rounding GM hellions also then, and practically every other class?

Also, it would be 3 shotting a GM hellion. (Before the change)

1st - 50%
2nd - 20%
3rd - Dead.

You do all realize that when it clings it does 2x damage, and after it clings subsequent casts will only do 25%...right?

Dulrik, - That staff has been in the game for a long time, and I've had the hells wind fairly recently. I didn't even know it wasn't allowed anymore. Actually I want to QQ a little because thats a GM stave I can recharge gone and that I can't use my super secret cabal power for anymore.

While I appreciate this change is meant for warlocks in PvP, what about PvE? When I played a warlock, it was nice to have a spell that could do significant single-target damage to NPCs. I realize warlocks are already a pretty nifty PvE class, but it's kind of a shame to see that aspect diminished.

Without any healing at ALL the first one will eventually kill you...you really want to count that as one-shot?

Comparing the 2 rounding that a warrior does (dependent upon both players positions, requiring the warrior be equipped with a weapon and buffed) is not the same as a warlock killing a warrior who has no chance to hit back in 2 rounds.

I do not believe the figures are 2x and 25%.

And DA - yes, a OP magma staff is the same as OP harm and OP FoD. None should be in the game. Spells that strong should not have gm staves with their spells on it.

Warlocks who do not have a second NPC with them are pk fodder for warriors. That's a large drawback to playing warlocks that still exists. The stupid NPCs like bondservants, ice spiders, etc. etc. should be removed.

That staff has been in the game since before I started playing(previous to '00).

Given the changes made to staves a while ago, the max you can cram on it is two charges, since it comes with one. You can't spam brandish it anymore like you could years ago. I don't believe it's completely out of line like hells wind was.

Hellswind was so broken because it was one chain lightning for every person in the room, which is what staves are designed to do, but chain lightning -already- hit every person in the room multiple times just with a single casting. So with multiples going off you'd have everyone being hit by like 75 bolts of lightning, that's where the problem was. Magma spray doesn't have a cumulative effect, it's not broken in the way hellswind was.
