Is the Summon spell fine as it is?
Poll ended at Wed Sep 28, 2005 1:29 pm
Sure, it's the best way to kill someone. Fun, too (for the one who does it). 18%  18%  [ 7 ]
It is OK, but wouldn't mind PK demanding and involving more than that. 38%  38%  [ 15 ]
No, it's not. "You deserve to die if you can get summoned" sounds like an excuse for people to use it whenever possible to me. 44%  44%  [ 17 ]

Only, you never will know who will come . . . pets, charmies, guard NPCs, other players. Those who might intend to gank summon may find themselves ganked instead.

Yeah, but you still have the advantage of selecting terrain.

But then that starts the argument of well, the attackers (the summoner) should or the defenders (the summonees) should.

So? The summoner has the advantage of terrain, the summonee has the advantage of bringing their friends along for the ride. Have to try it out in practice to see how it balances out.

Even worse for the summonee if they are relying on law NPCs.

I summon the newb they are helping in Exile to Teron, the newb has a low level and [REDACTED] saves. So they come easily, or even worse has auto summon not set to resist.

Law NPCs decide they don't like it there, and they leave... and then it's order all bash X.

Then you thank the newb, give him 10 obsid and loot the corpse.

Even though that summon was all about a stupid reason, you didn't have to remind me!

I think summon should bring the entire party of the one summoned. That is the easiest solution.

Not sure if that is possible but surely sounds HILARIOUS!!!

What's your gank squad going to do, emote someone to death?
