Do your homework Forsooth. Zenchi was completely g(r)ey and acted as one. :P-And- the whole random PK stuff happened long before she joined the Talons.

But recently I haven't seen much trouble pf that sort. Almost everyone I meet nods and acknowledges, RPs in some way, even if they are to walk off right afterwards. That's always a good thing.

Alright, I wasn't going to post to the bump yet but what the heck.

Regarding one of the tangents, specifically jlooting, I'm deadset against it. There are a myriad of IC reasons anyone with a brain can come up with to choose not to jloot, such as "they couldn't beat me with their gear so why should I worry about destroying it all?" It just seems OOCly obnoxious to me for people to be jlooting. Sure, take a couple pieces of gear or maybe destroy their weapons as a prize for your victory. But you don't have to jloot. Maybe it's my perma-newb status but I don't enjoy anyone who jloots, including people in my own group/religion/cabal/tribunal.

Now, regarding the actual topic, you can be well-known and in a religion and still avoid PK almost completely. It's just how you handle your char and which religion you choose.

Forcing your enemies to take full time to re-equip is generally better than letting them get their things and having them attack you an hour later, yes?

Sorry, Radamanthys. Comes of assuming too much from GD threads.

I think Pushing40's middle path is the best choice, since it includes the "don't mess with me" clause, but also allows room for harsher or more lenient behaviors at all times.

Nothingxs,
Maybe you shouldn't kill and j-loot so many people.
Then they wouldn't be so pissed that they come back after you as soon as they can.

Historically armies on the field of battle either looted and wore what their foes dropped, sold it, stocked it for later use or non-historically.. as in LOTR stacked the orcs in a burning pile gear and all. That said, as a player, its prickish to junk folks gear if they are no real threat to you or have never gotten up in your face or your buddies face or your horses face or your flower garden's face.. you get the point. There are reasons for, and reasons against. No blanket rule applies.

Well said. I'm with Fayne. Image

I don't. I never said I did, I just said that more-often-than-not it's the best idea. Either I pick the body clean or there's some junking going on.

With Daemaru the one time I was involved in solo PK and actually won, I think it versus Karn and I dropped all his stuff in a certain temple and told him to find it if he wanted it back. I personally think that's more fun because it puts losing all of their gear back in their hands, rather than just a straight:
get all corpse
drop all
junk all
<repeat if necessary>
