Okay, one thing I find really irritating when defending Zhenshi is that anyone who is not a Talon in my group gets reported for crimes, and then my own cityguards turn on them.

Also, today, I helped defend exile, but my crimes got reported and ALL my crap was confiscated, as well as being attacked by sentinels for my trouble.

Both of these incidents should not happen, because the players are helping the tribunal defend their city. It makes people NOT want to help, and weakens the already weak tribunals further. Pardon only works so fast, and does not take care of problems with equipment.

SO!!!

My idea is to give all members who are GROUPED with a PC Tribunal member to recieve the same immunity only as long as they are grouped with said PC tribunal member. This will help alleviate these lawbreaking issues.

What do y'all think?

EDIT: Tweaked the opening post to more easily make it understood.

They should have to be in the same room as well.

And you're an idiot for putting in that third option. Stop it.

The tribunal member should be leader and it should only count if it is a pc. I haven't tried but I guess it would be possible to c charm peacekeeper;o all invite &*;accept peacekeeper;kill city immune to the law, so best to specify that it has to be a pc.

Apparently I wasnt specific enough. A tribunal PC member. Any tribunal PC member. What tribunal has two active leader flags besides MC?

perhaps i wasnt specific enough, tribunal member has to lead the group. Not the tribunal. Like a merc leading to retreat.

I know that CoN does, pretty sure most of them do since there is a fairly healthy membership in the Faction Leaders Forum.

Certainly NO! If they want law immunity, let them join the tribunal. They will help the city knowing the cost, and wait for the leader to log in to get their pardon otherwise.

If such a thing gets implemented, all we will see is hammer mercs being grouped with a peacekeeper all the time for the immunity (although not necesserily on the same room).

P.S. Hammer and Peacekeepers well chosen as an example randomly

It should be something that must be turned on for each group. Maybe make it a "tribunal" spell low concentration for the tribunal member. Simulating him keeping in constant contact with the judge about who should be protected.

Peacekeeper starts to concentrate.
Peacekeeper utters the words "nation protection"
Peacekeeper has offered his group the sanction of nation XXXX.

Affect "nation protection XXXX"

Leave
You leave peacekeeper's group.
Your nation protection rights have been removed.

Its affect would be to cause all people to not remember crimes as if they did not see them with the notable acceptation of members of the tribunal. This would stop someone getting protection then burning the tribunal by killing someone else, leaving the law in the hands of the tribunal member no matter what happen. The only flaw is if the tribunal member dies then you all can get outlawed but thats the risk one has to take to defend a nation if they didnt join the tribunal, they will learn to protect the tribunal member in a short time.

The cost would hopefully stop people from just getting protection for the fun of it.

I would also like a new banish like command called outlawed. Placing the person outside the protection of the law. No one can report anyone for crimes against the person in the nation. This could then lead on to the idea of bounties on people, dead or alive. This idea comes straight from the history books of RL.
