Hokay, so...here is dee knights, all of zem cannot marry. Why eez dis you ask? Eez is because zeay took zee vow.

And why is chastity in their vow? Firstly, because they must have "no distrations" from their god (or something like that), and secondly because...uh...they simply need something to vow on, I guess.

But here's the thing: Priests can marry. Knights can't. SHOULDN'T IT BE THE OTHER WAY AROUND? Seriously.

Also, the only knights in actual history who could not marry were...were the...hell, even the Aurthurian knights could marry. It was how LORDS and heirs were born. I think the vow of chastity should be optional to each church, to give knights some variety and make way for RP.

If priests are not 'distracted' from thier god by marriage, it should be even easier for a disciplined knight. There was one knight who DID get married, long long ago in SK, and it is said that his god Dulrik himself came to the wedding in the form of a cloaked man.

Marriages could be hella old school, where EVERYTHING must be consulted with and approved by the elder. And allowing marriages doesn't mean knights who have already taken the vow should be allowed to marry, they should hold to what they said they would do. But this change would be for new knights. I think it would be pretty cool, but also because I dissagree with a rigid unspoken law that cannot be questioned!

Don't be hating David. We all know Arthurian knights got the best sex. Just because yours is bald doesn't mean we all can't enjoy :-P

Anyway, with the vows, no sex for pallys. End of story.

You SEE! Rigid unspoken law that cannot be questioned! I disagree with that! Weather its in real life or a game. ESPECIALY a game, a game which can and has and will change!

Yaubl has no interest in sex. He is a monk. But not ALL Knights are MONKS!
Also, marriage is not all abut sex. It is a SACRED and HOLY joining of man and woman.

And Yaubl has a shiny shaved scalp! Its a hair style, and its sexy!

No. If this happens, then paladins will be in great peril. Yes, in terrible peril. And they can't face that peril, it's too perilous.

In so far as the vow helps reduce mudsexx0r paladins, I'm in favor of things staying like they are...

Bald heads were meant to be rubbed for good luck.

Nothing more.

Read Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and you will see that the knights of authorian legend did indeed take vows of chastity.

When it comes to Arthurian legend, it all depends on what you read. It's been twisted. Wasn't the original Arthur from the late 400's and more along the lines of a warlord who fought against Saxxons (or one of them)?
