Alright, so my character wears leather armor and is a relatively low level. I have mostly all of the nospam filters on except movement and items, but for some reason i've not seen a single message about my armor degrading at all. I just now realized that what I had, when it was "brand new" is now suddenly down to "damaged" and awful, and a few on "worn out" and I've not seen any messages whatsoever about it's quality being reduced. Is this normal?

With heavy armor scale etc, I've ALWAYS seen "a series of fractures" etc...But I've not seen one message of that on any of my armor. Is it the nospam filter? Some help would be appreciated.

Edit: To clarify, I see the fractures on Other's armors like say the ones bakemono wear or the scale hide on spiders / centipedes etc..However I don't see them if I wear the armor.

You only get that message if the armor is severely damaged in one hit. Nicks and scratches that slowly grind the material away don't message. This happens all the time with a certain piece of brass armor.

Its one of the -'s of playing light armor warriors.

The upside used to be a fairly easy supply of skins you could get if you had a scout friend, but that too has faded lately.

Maybe a new light armor material is due, like glintsteel (arborean mithril) to appear and be indestructible.

Then again maybe not.

Yeah, if you're wearing cloth, leather, or some other easily damaged material, then every shot will degrade it slightly. If it takes a great deal of damage in one particular hit, it will be displayed in the yellow text, but since you're fighting unarmed or poorly armed NPCs (I presume) they will just slowly whittle away at your armor. The same happens with cloth, brass, etc. containers over time, if you're taking hits.

It even happens with Tanso. Although, I don't get why Tanso degrades on Tanso.

From what I've seen, its great for priests yes.

Not everyone can run around with MV all the time, though.
