Does ordering require concentration? If not, I think that it should. It makes sense that if you cant spare any concentration from whatever you are doing at the time, that you wouldnt be able to think clearly enough to order someone else to do something. This might be a slight boost to swashis too who taunt spellcasters so they cant order a rescue.

Swashies do not need a buff vs casters. They need a buff so that a /fully-prepped/ GM swashie does not get wrecked by a /fully-prepped/ GM merc/barb.

This would also be a severe nerf to the already horrible class/race combos with low INT. Like helf sorcs(which are honestly unplayable from a mechanics PoV). Sprite/elf sorcs (which luckily are just barely playable thanks to the +1 int they have over helves.). Human/helf priests/shamans. Etc.

It still makes sense that you cannot give orders if you cannot spare the concentration from what you are doing.
As for human and half-elves being screwed, I dont think that is necessarily true. The races that have more int than humans and half-elves also have other downsides that make humans and half-elves still have their own advantages.

From what I hear, most poeple wear int mods anyways to counteract taunt's affects anyways. This isn't specifically about taunt causing you not to be able to order, though I could make an argument for that as well, but for lacking the concentration. The comment was an off-handed one at the end and not the main focus.

Yes, most people do. And you should be able to counteract taunt if properly prepped, otherwise it'd be completely broken.

That is true. However, it is irrelevant to the matter at hand.

It is not mentally exhausting to yell at someone to do something.

Im sure we have all tried to hold a conversation with somebody who was wrapped up in something and concentrating deeply. It does take concentration to speak let alone to think and give orders. If you don't have enough, then obviously you wont be able to.

Then why stop there? Talking at ALL should take concentration, and if you don't have it, then you don't get to speak.

Regardless of the realism of this idea, I am not a fan of implementing it. It has too much of an annoyance factor as relates to gameply to warrant doing it (see also: shovels).
