I don't know if this can even be coded, but one thing that I would love to be able to do is look at the room from a room away, for rooms that are not part of the cardinal directions.

[edit] Also be able to cast/shoot into that room also!

I am somewhere between neutral and positive about this idea...positral? neutrative?...but one thing to keep in mind is that some builders use directions to add flavor descriptions, which could complicate things--Garazul is one such.

I think it'd be fine to still have some such exits not visible, like most portals, but an open gate would only make sense that you could see who was standing there.

I don't understand the request. You can already look and cast spells in non-cardinal directions.

Oh, I think I understand. The meat of this request is to be able to "look" into rooms with exnames like "enter" or "gate".

Like, instead of "look west", "look gate", and instead of getting gate's exdesc you'd get what you would normally see when looking in one of the cardinal directions.

Right? I dunno.

and to be able to shoot into those exnamed rooms.

Yeah I took this to mean exits like "gate", "hut", "tower", etc...

Yep, Ayero is correct. I understand it shouldn't be for all things but for instance the entrance to Gramhe(sp) village is something you should be able to see and target.

I want to do:

look entrance

room desc
pc 1
pc 2
pc 3
NPC 1
NPC 2
NPC 3

Instead:

You see a pearly white gate.

Wow, you're a jerk. All he asked for was the ability to look not burn bards in a non-cardinal direction.

Maybe he just wants to add some trigonometry on the cartesian plane and look at 265 degrees. IS THIS SO HARD TO CODE, MAN?
