If we have access to spirits that can be almost anywhere, why can't we have locate object?

Maybe I don't have idiot ancestors, I have a pure bloodline. You are making generalizations.

Not to mention they are just zipping around looking. Like the new rogue/bard skills, bribing other spirits.

Because spirits are not strong everywhere. Connection to the spirit world is weaker in some areas while stronger in ceremonial places.

Also Spirits are not something you can just tell them to fetch you info like locate.

They can send primal emotions like anger/vengeful/happy energy towards others and is something you feel and embrace.
