Hellion is a lot easier to do than paladin since they get more useful skills not related to religion induction. Cleave for hellions vs third attack for paladins for opening combat is rather difficult to overcome. Not impossible, but don't expect to overcome it every time.

If a paladin has a priest willing to sit and brew up the necessary protective spells that an uninvested paladin can't cast themself, it's not so bad. Uninvested paladins need to play defensively, not offensively, from my experience.

Mine often rescued people in combat and had them flee while he usually stayed to die because cure light just isn't enough. Often times, I wasn't prepared, though. A prepared, uninvested paladin could do a lot more than I could. Know your enemy, know what weapon to use in what situation, etc. Basic strategy of any combat situation.

Dude, Edoras. You know damned well that any darky priest worth their salt would eat a paladin for lunch if he didn't have BOG. Even with all their spells, I'd put my money on the priest, assuming both were players of decent skill and were prepared. The scroll skill is nuts.

I would rock a darkie priest and not even caste a spell.

QFT.
The priest will show up with mirror images anyway, to deal with BOG.

Actually, the priest would just recite charm on you and win instantly. Sorry, I don't think Yuni is enchanted.

Alright, whatever. But paladins probably have a decent will save to start anyway (Considering they should have max WIS, and I would think that the paladin class gets a good will save) so instant win charm person won't always work.

Yeah, I don't think Jhorleb even meant he would charm the paladin. I was just sort of thinking of Krager v. Yuni, specifically.

That mistake would cost you.
