Now we talking just Humanoid NPC's or any variety type from Animal to Demon? A [REDACTED] Knocker Demon... no wait, Pixie, named Summ or Brad would be a nice addition.

If it stays in the thread for a long time, that means it didn't get used. I suppose that'd be a hint.

Achernar,

Perhaps it might also not be a bad idea to indicate which areas you may wish to add an NPC too? I find it more difficult to just build things randomly. If I know what I might be building for, it tends to be a lot easier. :P

Yeah that would help as well, would give me something to do when I'm bored, and lets me be creative!

I'm fine with suggesting an area to put a selected NPC in, nothing says it will end up there, but it certainly can't hurt. I'm open to adding NPCs to just about any existing area.

I find this approach to quality NPC descriptions in the game really nice. I don't find the approach to the idea by non-imms thus far that good really.

I wish I could assist, but I really suck at descriptions. I do know there are quite a few out there that really rock at it, that I am certain could throw a few random ideas at the imms to build around or with.

I love writing descs, but without an idea of what's needed, I tend to stare at the blinking cursor for a few moments and then shrug and go on to something else. I think that's what Chem and Sleeper were getting at, too, not about directing where their NPC descs go.

I think we could split this off into categories:

Human descriptions (!)
Minotaur descriptions (!)
gnome descriptions (!)
animals not currently in the game descriptions

That's what I think would be needed, with !'s marking the one's I'd burn through more of if they were made available.

I need generic male and female human descriptions for random NPCs in Nerina and Menegroth which have gone missing or were never existent.
