I am sure many longtime players of SK will remember Yopparai Kyabetsu as either an immortal / staff member or perhaps even from his player days. Even though he retired from SK many years ago, he left an indelible mark on the game and community. Yopp passed away about a week ago due to natural causes. He will be missed by the many of us who he blessed with his presence and talents.

Alas, all good things must come to an end.

I remember him from the early days of SK in the 90's. Amazing player. RIP.

One of my favorite people I've come into contact with from the game, both as player and as staff. Just a genuinely kind soul who enjoyed life, and you could see it come out in his characters.

If anyone wants to check out some of his non-SK stuff, thanks to the internet you can still get a chance to see him doing some of the other things he loved below.

I am saddened to learn of the death of Yopp. May we celebrate all the good times and fun role-playing memories he gave us.

I have not been here for many years. This morning, I thought of an old internet acquaintance from college, The Jesster. He was Dulrik's classmate. Dulrik runs Shattered Kingdoms. Yoppari the trickster jester immortal is the newest post. :o

Thanks for the YouTube links of Yopp's other endeavors. I shall like to travel down this rabbit hole for a while longer.

I remember that he had that bright green CamelCase when Yopparai or Yigg would talk. It inspired me to search out a script for how to do that. Also really inspired Eliro, a Harlequin rogue, somewhere around 2001.

I remember him walking in and asking us to pull his finger.

Not I, though I did play with Eliro. It was funny when he was changed into a female and then a griffon.
