Code:
A spartan male human parries Vakria's bare fist!
Vakria dodges a spartan male human's attack.

Even if she is a fist member, I don't believe her matrix like abilities to have her fist dodge the parry. Please fix this.

Yeah, it's been that way for years. E-parry just generates an extra attack that can be blocked, parried, dodged.

It is very illogical and should be fixed.

It's already bad enough that eparries already do half as much damage as normal attacks, but to have them able to be dodged and such? Just seems silly.

Not sure but if riposte works the same way it should be changed too, imo.

Riposte is blocking another weapon and having the chance to come in with an attack while they are off balance, essentially. There is still a chance for that attack to be dodged. However, a fist being punched at someone and getting blocked by a sword shouldn't be allowed to be dodged, at least, that's what I gather from OP.

If we're splitting hairs about it, if you're parrying with a sharp edge of your weapon, you're already doing it wrong. Besides, don't the Fists have a special something to do a certain thing to their you-know-whats?

No. In fencing there are ripostes and counter ripostes, if you want to get technical, countering a riposte can go on indefinitely. However, with enhanced parry I have no doubt that actual contact was made with the fist and the weapon, hence my confusion as to how the fist can be parried and the fist can at the same time dodge the parry.

And grep, I don't think parrying a fist is the same thing as parrying a weapon. I would want to use the sharp edge of my weapon if I know I'm going to block a fist, and cause some damage.

So you're saying the "parry bare fist" line should come with some damage, without resolving a new attack?

All this talk of E-parry made me think of another issue regarding it:

Defensive skill proc costs PE.

Attacks cost PE.

So does the dodgeable, lowered-damage attack from eparry cost extra PE over all, since it costs PE to proc eparry in the first place, and THEN to proc an attack?

Wait... eparry costs PE?

No, I don't think the attack from eparry costs PE: It's only attacks -past- the first that cost PE anyway, and I'm pretty sure that riposte/eparry attacks don't count as multiple attacks. I might be wrong though.
