Ranged Combat Bugged?

Prelude: I was taunted, and then disarmed. Decided I'd switch to bow to fight back, and found I could not for the love of God figure out how to shoot the damn thing.

It looks like it is probably a bug related to new party fighting code, but you did not post your formation so I can not be sure. Were you front row or behind the naj?

Oh, sorry. I was originally in the front row, with the Naj behind me. The Naj rescued me, and so I ended up behind the Naj. When I'm back on, I'll see how easy it is to replicate, but it seems to happen a lot if I went from spear --> bow, noweapon --> bow in the middle of combat.

At the end, it seems like it just picks up where I left off with my spear in combat, and just isn't recognizing that my bow is a weapon I can SHOOT with.

Easily to replicate: Fight in second row with a ranged weapon, switch to bow/crossbow/sling, watch as you can't attack.

sounds like you are stuck in melee and so instead of shooting it assumes you are still in melee but the bow doesn't have reach to hit with.

I've noticed a problem similar to this and it might have something to do with it, if you have auto assist on when using a bow, you start attacking the first target, if you try to switch targets, it tells you your already fighting or doing the best you can, the way to fix that problem is to turn auto assist off and select your targets individually.

Ignore this one, didn't realize the problem, but yeah, that's a bug, your definately still registered as fighting melee if you get rescued while you have your bow equipped and nothing short from changing you weapon will fix it, and it seems if they have reach you stop firing as well.
