I've been using wraith and it says it is paralyzing them, but they get normal hits in combat. Is there something I'm missing?

Wraith paralyze got nerfed into the ground ages ago. Back when wraiths could paralyze, fury, bash, and all that good stuff. Probably never got reworked to be useful.

Hmmm that is quite deceiving... The ultimate disappointment thinking that it is the best animate dead that required lvl 50. Shouldn't it just be removed instead?

Level
10) Skeletons - quick and can do chill touch damage
20) Zombie - tank
30) Ghoul - poison
40) Wight - plague
50) Wraith - disappointment

You know you can have a lvl 50 skeleton? Animate got changed so you could pick what you wish the corpse to be animated into (assuming the level of the corpse is able to animate into what you seek). For instance a level 20 corpse can be animated into either a skeleton or zombie, your pick. If you don't pick then it'll animate to the default undead of that level range.

The best part of wraith is that they are flying and ethereal, so they do have some specific benefit unique among the undead types. The paralyzation they used to have was really overpowered, so that needed de-buff.

Did a little checking. While I still don't know what is going wrong, it's definitely not right. I am going to classify this as a bug.

I'm pretty sure that the paralyze affect is the same as <INSERT SECRET SPELL HERE> that also paralyzes, in that the target gets a will save (or some roll) for every action/cast, as opposed to simply being totally useless until the spell wears off. I seem to recall that getting changed a long while ago, as it affected the paralyze affect of all NPCs.

save for the fact that it does absolutely nothing regardless of how much willpower you have.

animate dead got changed a while back. They don't work quite the same as you may have remembered.
