There are items that crumble when the own are killed, this is a very old feature. There are other ways of removing items from people other than killing them. I can not sure if this is what happened in the log as we can not see where the weapon came from. The death rot normally takes some time can be anywhere from 1 tick to an area reset (about 30 min) from what I have seen around the place. |

Sweyn has never died since receiving this weapon and has never given it to anybody who's died while holding it. |
