SK Character: The Shining One
The entire game works on a system that gives a specific message to the character who has executed the command, the victim (or who the initial character is doing something to, if applicable), and the rest of the room that is neither of these people. These are set values, and it isn't something that would be easy for Dulrik to fix to check against race in every single instance, I don't imagine.

The easy fix would just be to make this specific (hold) echo "you hold xxx."

Actually an easy fix. One If-Else statement.
