This seems broken. Why are controls able to fire ranged weapons? This makes classes that are capable of controlling other NPCs extremely powerful.

It doesn't seem that crazy strong to me. I highly doubt the NPCs are specialized in crossbow or have the skirmish skill, so there's going to be a lot of look/order lag invoked to use them effectively, and the damage isn't going to be that impressive.

Also, you really shouldn't include cabal skills in log snippets.

This is not a bug. NPCs and monsters have skills, just like PCs have skills. This means that some choices for control, charm, and even tribunal guards can use ranged weapons.
