Cathy is gone. Long live Cathy. She was the only way to get into the casino in Everclear and has obviously been taken out. I totally get removing the PC only aspect to the casino, but don't remove the entire thing. It was generating SO much RP with the 2 Sadal priests hanging out there and the casino games themselves. Please just change the way the door works instead of removing the area, if that's not already the plan. If not, please explain why the area is being shut down?

I'm super confused and hope this is just a bug or something. I don't care if she's there, I just want to play birdcage, guys! PLEASE!

THINK ABOUT THE BIRDS

But really, I'm just hoping we can get an explanation or something, I'd just love to have the games back in some capacity.

It was determined that the casino games were broken in a way that was allowing people to generate almost unlimited money. Until the games can be fixed, access to the area has been removed. I don't have an ETA right now.

I really like the area myself, so I'd encourage whoever is in charge of hopefully fixing it (or who made it) that it's really neat!

The House always wins.

:drunk:

I definitely lost more money there than I made... maybe some of the games have higher chances of success than others, but it was certainly a great RP environment.

just what sk needs...another secluded/secret area for people to hang out at instead of teron, menegroth, exile or nerina. maybe u guys should consider "consolidating" teron and having that casino as a recall spot to replace it - lulz.

move that casino to the crossroads in teron, so that players socialize and use an inn...or don't bring it back at all

I mean, when the priests hang out there and it's gateable, RP gravitates to those places.

We had been searching for this place for a long time in game and it really felt like an accomplishment to uncover, especially since it was so well-built inside. I recognize that some of the games were probably rigged inappropriately against the house, but they were still awesome. I am really bummed that the decision was to remove the area because it was buggy instead of making a fix for us, especially on the tail of some of the most entertaining roleplay I've had so far since I started playing this game. I understand the need to restrict the gold generation, and I would submit that it was only birdcage that was really out of hand. The gold generation rate on barracuda and roulette was far less than you could make selling armor or mass murdering some midlevel area. A more generous fix would have been to remove Betty and her birds rather than restricting access to the whole area and I wish that had been the solution. You had builders spend no small amount of time building that beautiful area and your players were enjoying it. Please consider other options.

Hey I'm all for this. I didn't like it because of the exclusivity or even the games really, I liked it for the extra layer of depth it seemed to give other chars and the way I was able to RP off that. Putting it in a easily accessible place, well traveled place would only make that more interesting. As far as it being off the beaten path, well, I'd wager, pun intended, that more of the active players than not have been there and interacted with the priests on one level or another recently so that sort of is the beaten path. Much more so than some of the Inns anyways.

This area will definitely be reopened once the fix can be determined.
Sometimes even the finest establishments must close temporarily for renovations. New shag carpet and funkadelic chandaliers or something?
