wielding a +5 speed bastard sword, with high level haste, gives me a solid 3 attacks
wielding said sword WITHOUT haste is a solid 4

switching to a +4 acc bastard sword, with high level hastes, gives me a tenuous 4

in addition, it appears that -innate- speed interacts poorly with high level haste as well
my +2 speed super elite frozen wastes crossbow as a result appears to be worse than an innate +dmg storebought tanso
