Second reboot did what I consider the normal 5 mins, 4 mins, so on countdown before cutting out with normal messages.

Makes me wonder if some old code got brought back live during migration.


I think I know what caused the double reboot and can avoid it. But the deeper issue that needs to be fixed first is why all the events and email notifications are behaving as if the server is at UTC +0 even though everything I can see says the server is set to California time.

Dulrik, I don't know if you know this already, and I don't know if it helps, but Happy hour seems to be way off. It's usually 1930 gmt to 2100 gmt. It's in the morning now. I didn't really care until you mentioned the time.

Now that it has been mentioned, I actually noticed Happy Hour is at 11:30 AM MST now if an exact time is of any help.

Yes, that's exactly what I am referring to by events. They are all off by 6 or 7 hours. And the same system is what triggers the monthly update, which means it also didn't trigger at the correct time. This is worst for the update because it needs to be very time specific.

By the way, I am still no closer to a solution. Another night of burning the midnight oil. Thanks for the best wishes regarding my work, but this is pretty much my daily schedule. For the last several years, I have been managing a team that works across 15 time zones. And it's one of the major reasons why I don't have energy to work on the MUD these days.

Ouch! I remember the days of working with a team across 7 countries... that was painful enough as it is. Skype calls at 5 am where you were expected to be super awake, creative and sufficiently caffeinated to be both of those first things. Brutal dude.

I think I figured it out. The game has been rolled back to August 31st and the monthly update subsequently reapplied. Please let me know if any issues are seen.

I think the website should update the telenet address for playing. If you go to the play section of the website it gives you the old address to connect to to play now. I suggest adding the new address to it.

I don't think that's an issue. As soon as the DNS records are updated globally (usually within 24/48hrs) mud.shatteredkingdoms.org will point to the right server.
