A male centaur is sleeping here.
A young male half-elf is here, tending to the sick.

He is sleeping.
An arena medic says to you 'I can train you for 0 sessions.'
An arena medic says to you 'You can train: str int wis dex con cha hp mana'

I've been noticing this alot with basically all the trainers. When a PC is sleeping in the room and you try to train anything it shows the message of He is sleeping, but he'll still train you in what you seek. This should be considered a bug of sorts. For the He is sleeping is reading the PC and not the NPC.

Okay, I'm going to explain this one veeeeeeeery sloooooooowly.

When you type 'train stat', it checks every NPC in the room. The male centaur was asleep, so he couldn't help you, whether or not he was a trainer. So the mud tells you "he (the centaur) is asleep".

The mud then moves onto the next npc, the arena medic in this case. He is awake and can train your stats, so he speaks to you.

But the centaur shouldn't have triggered the train stat attempt cause isn't a NPC.

Its probably an event thats checked by every person in the room when you type train.

When they're sleeping the default message is that they're sleeping (obiviously). It probably dosen't check for NPC or NPC until they're awake when it returns nothing when you type train.

Why cant you just deal with stuff like this and [REDACTED] about real bugs?

Yes, everyone knows that you should only report "real" bugs, not, umm.... "fake" bugs like this one. Now, if you mean "important" then that's a different story. But this bug is just as "real" as any of the others, and pointing it out certainly doesn't hurt anything but your chances of getting your posts deleted.

You saying this bug isn't real, I could take a screen shot and send it to you and prove you wrong. Or better yet next time you see a PC player sleeping near a trainer type train stat and you'll get the He is sleeping message.

When they say it's not a "real" bug they mean it's not urgent and it's really just a matter of taste, like being able to see invised people look at note boards when you don't have detect up.

What is this considered? Bug in the NPC or does this happen all the time? Or is it even worth posting?
