Not sure how this one got skipped over by everyone, the thing is this. Before the addition of Finesse everything was nice and dandy, I was training my Swashie and all was well. Then came Finesse, I read the description and I said, "Wow, looks nice have to train it." So I did, then started working to master it, Enhanced Parry was working perfectly fine.

Until one fateful day I mastered Finesse, from that point on Enhanced Parry has ceased working. Even with the skill at very good it was bound to fire a few times each fight but nothing. It appears that somehow Finesse borks it from working, which is rather weak considering most NPCs are unarmed and you lose one of your viable defensive methods for no reason whatsoever.

I am available for testing this thing whenever an Imm can have a look at it. I have verified with another Swashie that it does not happen for my own character only.

Would be nice if it got looked into, I want my defences back :(

PS: Yeah I'm using Finesse weapons thank you very much.

Yeah, I've just noticed this too.

I've perfected eparry and finesse (didn't notice when I stopped eparrying) yet NO enhanced parrying at all against unarmed foes.

As a mercenary, I can say that I haven't e-parried a bare fist since before the update. I log every moment of gametime, and the last occurence was on 09/30 prior to the update. Something is wrong with enhanced parry.

Nothing in here tells me exactly which parts of enhanced parry are not working. Enhanced parry does several different things:

1. Increases chance of normal parry
2. Allows chance to parry unparryable attacks (fists, flails, etc)
3. Allows chance to parry while wielding unparryable weapons (flails, etc)
4. Does damage to opponent if you 'parry' their natural attacks

Which of these things is not working?

Natural attacks and bare-handed fighting.

#1 is also extremely difficult for any player to accurately assess. You should look at that one either way.

#2 is not working, which means by conclusion that #4 can therefore not work, or at least no player can make that determination. I'd suggest looking at that one also.

#3 needs to be answered by a merc who has tested it.

Found some bugs here as well. Fix should be in next reboot.
