No, I am not a Fistie nor am I polyed into a creature. How exactly did I get an attempt to disarm? Is it possible to actually disarm them, or does it always say "fail to disarm"? If so, then I'd ask that it just say "you can't disarm unarmed" so it doesn't lag you/mislead you.

When I try and disarm the unarmed, it comes up with

Your opponant has no weapon.

So maybe the NPC is bugged?

No, I'm the one unarmed. The bakemono clearly has a weapon (it doesn't have a slashing natural attack), and i'm clearly punching.

You fail to disarm them cause it would take a weapon to succeed so maybe?

if your playing a swashie you have to have a weapon to disarm. I am almost 100% on that.

Guys, the point here is that for some reason i can attempt disarms while UNARMED.

I've only tried it once. I can do it some more times and see if anything comes of it.

I'm pretty sure you will never succeed. If you did, then THAT would be a bug. As it is, there is no bug.

In that case, would it be too large of a request to ask that it doesn't try to disarm at all, and instead says "You're not able to disarm unarmed!" or something like that (obviously ppl who can disarm would get normal failure messgae). Helps out those who see it and think they have a shot at disarming.... like those ppl who don't read help files close enough.
