Is there anyway I can save my aliases to a specific character and start a new set for another character? I want to play an alt but I don't want to mess up my aliases for my main.

You could export your aliases to an alias save file, then change them to make them the way you want to use with your new character, and export those again to an alias save file. Name them something like "Char 1 aliases" and "Char 2 aliases".

You'll have to import your aliases based on which character you're using, so that's an inconvenience, but aside from that, nothing that I can think of.

But really, the first question I should have asked is what client are you using?
