Im curious.
I know my friend who introduced me to SK told me the port number was the year it was made but I never asked for more details at the time.
A big thanks to all Imms past and present who have kept things going and interesting. And D for his hours of mostly thankless work. I know Ive played on and off for a long time and it has had a big impact on my life good and bad over the years. It enabled myself to learn a lot about how I treat other people and I like to think improved my outlook in life over all. Either way its a long time for any one project to stay active.

Since 1996, wasn't it? I think that's the reason the port is 1996.

Although I think there was a gap between when the game was initially up and running, and when it became open to public, wasn't there? So I don't know if 1996 is exactly when everyone was able to begin playing or not.

There was alpha and beta testing periods while initial code and zones were developed as early as mid-1994. But the game officially launched to the public on January 1, 1996. So we've been open continuously for over 19 years. We'll need to do a big bash to celebrate 20 years this New Years!

Well, I know the game was old when my moniker fit me (this was my 2nd moniker). My moniker doesn't fit me anymore, so the game's even older still... hehehe
