Or two?

Probably my favorite song though at the moment is Depeche Mode - Where's the Revolution

Always room for some good Depeche Mode.

On the Gorillaz subject, check out their 360 video? Gorillaz - Saturnz Barz (Spirit House) 360

Not my favourite song of theirs, not least either, but the video is absolutely amazing if you have access to some sort of VR device (Oculus DK2 worked fine for me).

Yeah, that 360 view stuff was awesome, and the song wasn't bad at all.

I can't see Bangarang without thinking of Doomtree though...

Doomtree - Bangarang

"They hate, they petty. They say we too heady, too heavy, too many, too much punk.
Much too drunk, too much luck, love too much. Yup, but we earned it all.
All work til the curtain calls and our time is up. They ain’t got enough, and it burns 'em up."

Love the White Stripes, often for no other reason than the guitar wanking that goes on at times.

The White Stripes - Ball and Biscuit

"Let's have a ball and a biscuit sugar, and take our sweet little time about it.
Let's have a ball girl, and take our sweet little time about it. Tell everyone in the place just to get out.
We'll get clean together, and I'll find me a soapbox where I can shout it."

Patriotic time!

A legend on the drums: Neil Peart Drum Solo - Rush Live in Frankfurt, this is a Canadian mating ritual. A very satisfying drum solo!

Although that drum solo is awesome, I believe this should be the Canadian national anthem... IN FULL! Other countries would hate playing our teams in sports with an almost 21 minute anthem! Not to mention Geddy Lee is an acquired taste for most, it seems... That aside, this is a truly awesome and epic classic: Rush - 2112 [HD FULL SONG]l. It is an epic song in it's fullest, but if 21 minutes is too long...
Rush - Fly By Night
My favorite:Rush-New World Man EDIT: I replace the word "man" with "Steve"...

Viltrax, you are Australian if I recall, correct? Nice pick!

A sweet, slow, unique Aussie (Is that racist? You can call me a Toque) song I remember: Lisa Mitchell - Neopolitan Dreams [Official Video].

I'm on to the epics now, what is your Epic?

[ur=lhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNCT6pA5I9A]Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath [/url]
Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride 1968 HQ
Trooper, The Boys in the Bright White Sports Car

And bilingually my ultimate favorite:
In English, the first song I ever memorized as a child: Eagles - Hotel California (High Quality)
Gipsy Kings - Hotel California(Spanish Version)

I feel like as the resident Lord of Fear I have been much to kind with these selections, so since you've expressed your favorite I'll give you my favorite song that bastardizes your favorite
Safety Orange - Hotel Whatever You Like

But nah, seriously, all good stuff.

As far as epics go? That's really tough, I think it depends on what you mean by epic, and the genre. Generally when I think of "epic" songs I either think of the weight of the song, length, or power, but for some it's just a song that tells a story. I think I have to get some Queen somewhere in there since almost every song they have fits that bill...

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

I'd be disrespectful if I didn't throw something from Led up too since like their entire catalog is basically epic tracks... one of my personal favorites is...

Led Zeppelin - When The Levee Breaks

It doesn't stop with classic rock though, not even close. You've got other types of epic songs, like the song with so much emotion that it has launched a thousand drunken karaoke stands...

Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive although I personally prefer the Cake version

But before I'm distracted more by "anthems" that could be considered epic you've got epic longer songs from other genres too. For instance, rap has quite a few, but one that always stands out as "epic" more than most is...

Immortal Technique - Dance With The Devil Fair warning, really adult material here

One that I personally think is epic as hell, and many will probably disagree with me is...
Los Piojos - Tan Solo

Or for something in more of a ballad folk bent...

The Avett Brothers - November Bluekind of even more of an "epic" as they have another song denouncing this one that is much more upbeat

Maybe something just kind of the more Coffeehouse Indie vibe?

Iron & Wine - The Trapeze Swinger

Of course, you have the more contemporary IDGAF prog-rockers to provide epic sized/sounding tracks in the more modern rock area...

Tool - Right in Two

Personally though, it doesn't get more epic for me than live shows, and I can vouch that the following tracks are epic as [REDACTED] in that setting if nothing else...

Snoop Dogg - Gin & JuiceWould suggest seeing him when he tours with Wiz or Cypress Hill or some other act you enjoy because he still puts on a great show, but you can obviously tell he gets more into it when he's having a good time with "friends" and someone who can help carry the show and keep energy high at this point
Toadies - Possum Kingdom
Mindless Self Indulgence - Kill the Rock
Blues Traveler - Crash Burn No joke, these guys viciously tear [REDACTED] up. Went in expecting a nostalgia act mostly, and instead they were still at the top of their game and killing it even in the smaller venue I was in, if you get a chance, see them if you have the slightest interest

Apologies for the delayed response!...

That Safety Orange song made me cry... It is so bad.

Bohemian Rhapsody, epic, definitely!

Zeppelin, I'm more of a Kashmir fan myself! But they can do no wrong.

Gloria Gaynor, Indeed! You really like the Cake version better? To each their own!

Immortal Technique - Dance With the Devil. Not bad, but a bit bland in the beat department, IMHO. I'm not a huge rap fan, how about some old-school D12?

Tan Solo... Pretty f'n cool! Makes me wish I spoke Spanish! Catchy tune!

No offense intended, not a fan of that Avett Broters one, and the Iron & Wine. No comment.

Tool = memories of Tool + System of a Down + Hallucinogenics.... Ah, teenage years. Good times.

If I don't end with an epic, I'd feel bad. I'll go out with an epic from an adopted Canadian.

That's what I was doing. You could also use it to share original poetry, or recipes I suppose.
