Dulrik has worked diligently to allow us to post full-color logs on this site, if we so desire. All quotes in this forum will have a black background, and it will look much more like the game. However, we are not opening the forums up to HTML log posting. As such, the system is imperfect, so I am posting to help you figure out exactly how to get the best results. 1. Firstly, you will need to extract an HTML log of your session. There are various methods for logging or copying with HTML. This thread is designed to help you figure out how to do so in your MUD client of choice. 2. Run your HTML through an HTML to BBCode converter. There are many online; however, we have found that one that respects the spacing in an SK log is available at http://www.seabreezecomputers.com/html2bbcode/. 3. Surround the entire log with both an opening and closing [log] tag and a opening and closing [quote] tag. The [log] will enable monospace font while the [quote] will default it to grey text on black background. Put them together (with BBCode color) and it mimics the game pretty closely. 4. Copy the converted BBCode log into a new post, within [quote] tags. Ensure that all cabal, OOC and adult content is removed. 5. Tag the title of your log with [PVE], [PVP] or [RP] to allow other forum users to anticipate what they will be reading about. |
