The Garnet Lounge
As with the room below, the walls here are covered with twinkling crystals of
amethyst.  The floor, though, is quite something to behold.  Millions of
tiny, polished garnets have been painstakingly set into the floor in amazingly
complex and beautiful patterns.  Your feet never actually touch them,
though, as they, like the rest of the lodge, are magically protected from
wearing down or breaking.  The room contains many divans, cushions, and
comfortable chairs, as this is a lounge.  You see several groups of mages
deep in conversation, many of them of professions you would expect to kill
each other on the spot rather than sit together and talk.
  Obvious exits: n s w nw sw
The corpse of the mage is lying here.

Is this working as intended?

Getting FS'd while leveling is ridiculous. Bash and trip suck and it's [REDACTED] for a fully-kitted GM character to lose everything because they're babysitting lowbies in Tlaxcala.
What does this add to the game? It's not even like they're endgame NPCs with elite loot ot whatever.

One, where are the new players who need to learn things aren't easy? And they haven't learned this by master rank yet?

Two, a fully-kitted GM character lost everything. I'm guessing the player with me had already been through the school of hard knocks. Go to Tlaxcala and you'll find tons of GMs grouping with lowbies to help them get that XP bonus. Like, what, this is your punishment for helping someone?

I know you got FS'd by this NPC, but this attitude of 'eh crap things happened to me so they should happen to others' doesn't provide any logical justification for Tlaxcala mages casting FS.
