Because it's been said before, God's like to find information on the web that is being shared, then change it in game. If it wasn't for asking questions, I wouldn't get to know anyone in this game. I wouldn't care to.

Look at playability. Would the game be more playable and fun with this information accessible? Yes
Not for me.

Arguing that your playstyle should be forced on others is the kind of solipsism that makes the community feel like a usenet group.
I haven't forced anything, or argued that anything should be forced. I found a game with features that I like, that I enjoy playing. I support and protect those features, and try to be at least as helpful to other players as the veteran community has been to me. I don't like the argument that 'If you don't like it, play something else' but if one of the core concepts of the game (which in this case is information control) is something that makes the game unplayable to you, then maybe it isn't the game for you.
At current I am facing the same dilemma as Evena with armor. I am having to hoard money in order to start comparing armors, because I am still in my school leathers at apprentice level. I do have a gripe that you should be able to 'Compare' Items that are being sold without buying them, as you would have the option of seeing the item before purchase. Even being able to ask the merchant "Tell me about <item>" would be of great help. I still do not thing you should be able to find all the features of an item listed online, anywhere, and I hope it stays that way.
