 Post subject: Sanctuary + Ranged attack

I don't want to try and find this out through experimentation, for somewhat clear reasons, but...

If someone is holding sanctuary, and someone shoots an arrow, or flamestrike, or something else from an adjacent room, is there still a chance that the attack would not go through? And if so, would you still see that oh-so happy "Character McDeathKill wanted to beat your face in, but thought better of it" message?

The only way to not get the sanc message(assuming you failed your test, whatever kind it is) is to do an area affect spell. Otherwise, you will either pass the test and shoot/spell them or you will get the standard you think about it twice message.

And only if they are targetting the room, not the player. cast 'fireball' se othet will have a sanctuary check, I believe, but cast 'fireball' se would not.

Yes, you are right Benzo. That was such a rare occurance of that type happening though, that I forgot it happened a couple times.

I think being able to shoot arrows into a room without targetting anyone specifically would be awesome. I'd so roll a diabolic for that [REDACTED].
