A maxed int halfling holding detect invis/hid, infravision, spell ward, and six wraiths getting put to sleep drops most of the wraiths. Fairly certain FoD would be out of reach with infravision added to your hypothetical situation, but as I've essentially lost all interest in playing my necromancer after this latest wimp, I haven't done the testing to say for sure.

When you're fighting, you should never be holding anything except detect hidden/invis and your undead. You can get scrolls and vials for spell ward and infra.

A necromancer halfling with max int cannot cast finger while holding more then five wight's, detect invisible, hidden and death shroud.

Quote:
Necromancers are the masters of the undead...These powers make them very powerful, able to raise up armies from the bodies of dead opponents and to warp space in hideous ways...

Is the help file going to be changed? Maybe it should read ...very powerful, able to raise a group of undead from the bodies of dead opponents...

finger's an "I win" spell, and armies are powerful. I can see how you shouldn't be able to have an "I win" spell while toting along a shitload of undead.

I'm not sure what are you talking about but be sure that an age-ticked delf gains -nothing- and when I say nothing, I mean...-NOTHING-.

I agree but currently the helpfile is saying necromancers should be able to create ARMIES of undead because they are very powerful. Holding 5 animates is not an shitload of undead hell its not even passing gas.

no, but twenty is, and FoD can probably take enough concentration for roughly ten.

Delfs don't get the stat maximum increase in age-ticking like other races?

Only by using int mods and then again, 24 = 25. As I said long ago, you won't be able to hold ANY more spells...Not even detect magic.

TheCannibal, you may be right about how the lighty side has more useful CTF abilities, though I personaly dissagree. I think Midnight can far more easily tank a guardian, and while in darkness, have an easier time bringing it down. Then you dont have to worry about your mana upkeeps due to a certain cabal skill, etc. But dont include grey organisations in team lightie. those should be open game for anyone. One of them is just light-aligned currently.

Yet you missed my point completely. What is team lightie without relics? A bunch of chars. You need 9 or more of em to bring down a guardian. One with more then 1 relic no less.
On the other hand, team darkie can take 3 people and bring down a guardian if there's noone to holy word them. Remember the very first CTF when the adepts ganked all the relics overnight? Sure, different times, but it was still a necro and his army that made it possible.
