..Why would you pick up gear above your level? I would think you know enough about this game to not do that.

I haven't logged in for about a week. This is because I picked up a few bits of gear above my character's level and I don't want it to be stolen. My rationale therefore is that for me to log on, I want it to be for a long enough period of time that I don't spend it all running around getting replacements for equipment I've lost just by logging in.

End result? Almost total character inactivity.

A fix Im sure you dont want to hear would simply to have thieves check against your gear every 24 hours real time if you dont log in. Then you wouldnt need to worry about it. It might also help with the hoarding problem people [REDACTED] and moan about.

Goldy the reason you get high level gear is because its good ... most often better than low level gear.

the only high level gear I'd get at low levels is glistening. but that was before tas academy gear.

Glistening's what I have. My suggested fix would be to stop thieves from taking any item below level 30. That way high level rare items and ada and [REDACTED] like that would all get nabbed if you're too low, but things that are readily available in shops if a newbie is willing to spend the time to gather the money for them won't be.

PS. What is this Taslamar Academy eq I hear of?

Go look in the taslamar academy! The noob area sells GOOD armor depending on your class.
