I'd be alright with a five level cap. You lose an entire status and your crimes are pardoned.

WTF, five levels, please tell me you're both drunk or high. Of course D-A wants jail to be as harsh as possible. HE NEVER LEAVES HIS HOME CITY EXCEPT TO GET EQUIPMENT.

You should -ONLY- go to jail for -KILLING- a -PC-. Just mutilate/ confiscate/execute everyone for everything else.

Its just an option, not a requirement. This suggestion is a way out of spending time in jails excessively. If I had the ability to do that, I would probably get a little more involved in PK, instead of avoiding it because I don't want to go to jail.

Rofl, so. Set a trigger, and leave your computer while you spend 100 days in jail. Or, lose 5 levels, from level 50 to level 45, and then spend 30 hours or more getting them back? Since you've probably done most of the quests, and already grinded all the high areas that's going to take a really long time.(You wouldn't be able to level WITHOUT a group member, and then wtf do you do when everyone you know is already GM/already familiar with all the high areas)

P.S. Or just get broken out. But then you're still outlawed.

P.P.S. Also, the uh, Exile and Sith'a'niel jails need to be revamped. Like every other city. The cell is right next to the judge, whose room isn't anti-magic/no-recall. Exile's jail has a no-magic room right outside of the cell, and you have to go through like 5 rooms before you can use recall. I think Sith'a'niel's is like that too.

Obligatory warning, even though I'm fairly sure you weren't serious:

Characters doing this will be deleted for automation also known as 'botting', which includes using triggers to prevent voiding out and disconnecting due to inactivity.

Well, serious about everything except the 100 days part. Most I've ever served was 70~. Alshain, are you seriously going to tell me you expect someone to SIT AND STARE AT THEIR COMPUTER. For...Let's see 70 days is...Approximately 28 hours.(this is going off of 2.5 days=1 hour)

IT'S A ****ING GAME. DO WE PLAY GAMES TO BE BORED OUT OF OUR MIND FOR 28 HOURS STRAIGHT? I DON'T THINK SO.

Hell, in the time it took you to serve that sentence, you could have a new Master level character.

This idea is useless, my thread is better.

Dude, no offense, but you seriously need to lighten up. Really, you're taking things far too serious when you're giving warnings for someone clearly being cynical. In any case, the Jail system does need some serious working. I can't expect anyone to really sit there for 100 IC days. Anything over 5+ days should be 5 days then execution in my opinion. As that's been stated time and time again, we play a game to have fun, not to stare idly at a screen because we were punished on the game for killing someone. There's a difference between punishment and torture..

Then perhaps, instead of bitching at Alshain, you should RP with ppl that are in jail, and consider them as a player, sitting there for 100 days, and make an agreement with them, or some such:O, its what parole is for:P
