I know. I just think it sucks that every merc chooses like 4 different weapons because they rock everything else. with spec most weapons can hit 4 attacks so the few that have both high damage and high accuracy, are the only ones worth speccing in. If speed was changed to account for something else instead of just how many attacks per round, it might make other subtypes more usable.

I dunno, I just dont want to be using the same subtype as everyone else. Makes it boring.

Funny thing is, Epee was the best leveling weapon. Almost always the max attacks and they almost always hit. Better than flamberge.

I'm almost sure that wakizashi accuracy>flamberge accuracy. I still believe that wakizashi used to be a really cool spec for a couple of races till the last mood update. Maybe mood defensive needs a slight buff now.

I just dont want to be another flamberge/b-spear/khopsh merc. Though I also dont want to be the guy getting beat by every other merc... theres a lot of choices but not real viable options. I wish they could balance the list a little.

Syn actually speaks a slight amount of truth. There are many one handed battlewhips available in game, meaning you can hold a shield while using it to help offset the fact that you can't parry with it. The plus side is, it can't be parried, it has middle of the road damage, it's a one hander with reach, and with haste/spec you recieve five attacks.

They're quite a decent spec if you're in a tribunal and have a guard or beefy pet to stand behind. The ability to use a shield while using your reaching weapon really lowers the damage you take as well, if anyone manages to hit you in the second row, or you suddenly find yourself in the front row.

Not the best spec certainly, but definitely managable.

Tribunal not an option. My main is already in a faction.
Im sure someone has specced in katana already, but im guessing it wasnt that great since I dont see anyone really using them?
