Yeah. Kimbry had everything mastered except final strike and detect aura, neither of which I bothered to learn, and I'd say it was worth it.

The sheer time you save from then on is valuable, not to mention the experience you get by mastering things before being a GM.

Yeah, every spell you cast gives you a bit of experience, until you reach the cap for non-combat exp.
